The University of Innsbruck was founded in the year 1669 which is a public university located in the capital state of Innsbruck, Austria. The university is currently the largest educational university in the capital of Austrian federal state of Tyrol. The university occupies third rank worldwide in mountain research area. There are currently about 28000 students, having an admin staff of about 1500 and an academic staff of about 3200. At present there are about fifteen faculties which are replaced by former six faculties.
