The Mercatorum University often simply abbreviated as "Unimercatorum" is a private university founded in 2006 in Rome, Itlay.The name Universitas Mercatorum recalls the origins, the nature and the typical vocation of the Chambers of Commerce as representative bodies of the community and the generality of the various subjects and productive fields. The Mercatorum Universitates were in fact associations - forerunners of today's Chambers - dispensers of justice and invested with market regulation functions, to protect the interests of all the mercantile sectors.
