Abstract
Towards Non-Photorealistic Rendering in Car Navigation
Since in the year 2000 the Global Positioning System (GPS) gained more accuracy, the market for car navigation systems grew constantly. Nowadays, these driver assistances are available in many different variants, such as build-in car navigation systems, mobile navigation devices or just as application for smart phones. In the last decade, the visual complexity of driving instructions for navigation applications has grown in a fast pace.
