Stem Cell Genetic Engineering

Genetic engineering has applications in medicine, research, industry and agriculture and can be used on a wide range of plants, animals and micro organisms. It acts as a tool for discovering the functions and therapeutic applications of certain genes. Gene therapy is a novel therapeutic branch of modern medicine. Gene therapy aims to transfer genetic material into cells to provide them with new functions. Identifying a gene transfer tool is a difficult task. Viral and nonviral vectors, in vivo, ex vivo and in situ strategies co-exist at present, although ex vivo lenti- or retroviral vectors are presently the most popular. Natural stem cells or induced progenitor stem cells can be modified by gene therapy for use in regenerative medicine. Hematopoietic stem cells have shown clear clinical benefit. It focuses on genetic manipulation of mammalian stem cells, recent advances in genome informatics, recombineering. Journal of Regenerative Medicine is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal and aims to publish the most complete and reliable source of information on the discoveries and current developments in the mode of original articles, review articles, case reports, short communications, etc. in all areas of regenerative medicine and making them available online freely without any restrictions or any other subscriptions to researchers worldwide. Journal of Regenerative Medicine focuses on the topics include regenerative medicine therapies, stem cell applications and tissue regeneration. JRGM is using quality and standard review process, also online manuscript submission and tracking systems. Review processing is performed by the editorial board members of Journal Regenerative Medicine or outside experts.
