Sport Biomechanics
Sport biomechanics is the study that is concerned with optimising sports technique. Biomechanical analysis compares and contrasts an athlete's present technique. It studies the structure and function of biological systems. The motto of sport biomechanics is to evaluate motion of human in sports training, ergonomics and design of equipments. It is a discipline that applies the laws of mechanics to study body movements and their cause. It also helps in gaining a greater understanding of performance in athletic events through modelling and measurement. Biomechanics emerged from physical education as a specialized are of study. Kinesiology and biomechanics are intricately related. Principles of these two fields can be applied to the fields of biology, physiology, engineering, physical and occupational therapy, and medicine as well. Biomechanics offer scientific knowledge that can improve performance, to improve sport techniques, equipment, and safety, to design and conduct programs to enhance individual movement skills. Journal of Athletic Enhancement focuses on the topics include sporting events, aspects of enhancement process, use of performance-enhancing substances, psychological and physical health of the athlete, rehabilitate injuries related to sport or recreational activity, athletic physiology and nutrition of athletes. The Journal is using Editorial Manager System for quality in review process. Editorial Manager is an online manuscript submission, review and tracking systems. Review processing is performed by the editorial board members or outside experts; at least two independent reviewers approval followed by editor approval is required for acceptance of any citable manuscript. Authors may submit manuscripts and track their progress through the system, hopefully to publication. Reviewers can download manuscripts and submit their opinions to the editor. Editors can manage the whole submission/review/revise/publish process.
