Exercise Physiology

Exercise physiology is the science of how the athletes body responds to sport or physical activity. In short it is the study of the physical and chemical events that provide for the conversion of chemical energy to mechanical work. It describes the functional changes brought about by single or repeated exercise sessions. The understanding of these changes aids in improving the performance. It deals with the characteristics that contribute to performance in particular sports. Application of science refers to fact that exercise physiology uses scientific principles from many parent disciplines and rigorous scientific inquiry within sub disciplines to develop knowledge about movement. Exercise physiology aims at identification of factors that limit performance, Effectiveness of various rehabilitation programs, ergogenic aids and exercise, health and therapeutic effects associated with exercise, effects of nutrition on performance. Journal of Athletic Enhancement focuses on the topics include sporting events, aspects of enhancement process, use of performance-enhancing substances, psychological and physical health of the athlete, rehabilitate injuries related to sport or recreational activity, athletic physiology and nutrition of athletes. The Journal is using Editorial Manager System for quality in review process. Editorial Manager is an online manuscript submission, review and tracking systems. Review processing is performed by the editorial board members or outside experts; at least two independent reviewers approval followed by editor approval is required for acceptance of any citable manuscript. Authors may submit manuscripts and track their progress through the system, hopefully to publication.
