Special Issue 1
Journal of Geoinformatics & Geostatistics: An Overview announces its Special Issue entitled- “New Frontiers in Integrating Geostatistics and GIS”
Geostatistics and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) have enriched the literature with original and interesting contributions in the last decades. In this context, it is even fruitful to keep on stimulating the interaction between these two branches, which can give valid supports for actions addressed to favor sustainable development of a territory. Applications for the Environmental Sciences with the help of Geostatistics and GIS have now seeking the attention of researchers.
This Special issue is intended to explore the current developments and advancements in integrating Geostatistics and GIS, also welcomes front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles
Topics for this issue include, but not limited to:
- Spatial statistics and visualization
- Spatio-temporal environmental modeling and prediction
- Integration between Geostatistics and GIS
- Environmental GIS
- Software and routines
They can be in the form of a:
- Review (systematic review, conceptual review, etc.); or
- Perspective and Insight; or
- Case study (local, country, regional, or global)
