About Sport Injuries
Athletes may get injured in various athletic activities performed. Sports injuries are commonly caused by overuse, direct impact, or the application of force that is greater than the body part can structurally withstand. There are two kinds of sport injuries. Those are chronic and acute. An injury that occurs suddenly, such as a sprained ankle caused by an awkward landing is known as an acute injury. Chronic injuries are caused by repeated overuse of muscle groups or joints. The common sport injuries are sprains, strains, knee injury, swollen muscles, and pain along the shin bone, rotator cuff injuries, fractures and dislocations. Medical investigation of sport injury is important, because we may be hurt severely than we think.
