About Sensors and Actuators
Sensors and Actuators
A sensor is a device that measures and changes over physical amount into a signal which can be perused by an observer. For instance, camcorders and computerized cameras have a picture sensor.
An actuator is a device that is responsible for moving and controlling a system. An actuator requires a control signal and a source of energy to serve the purpose. The control signal is comparatively low energy and may be electric voltage or current, pneumatic or hydraulic pressure, or even human power.
