About River Water

It is a large natural flow of water that crosses an area of land and goes into an ocean, a lake, etc. Rivers are part of the hydrological cycle. Small rivers can be referred to using names such as stream, creek, brook, rivulet, and rill. There are several causes of pollution in river water. For example: Sewage, nutrients, waste water, chemical waste, radioactive waste, oil pollution, plastics, alien species, sediments, thermal pollution etc. Due to effect of pollution in water it kills plants and animals of the water. Polluted water also causes different types of diseases. When animals drink the water, they may get diseases which can kill them. People can even get these diseases by eating the infected animal. This happens a lot in poor countries in Africa where people get untreated water directly from the river. River hydrology is a study which deals about rivers and their run of process in rivers and basins it even deals with the river channels transverse longitudinal profiles, effect of climates agriculture technology and explains about regime of river fed heat balance
