About Preventive Medicine

Preventive Medicine is the branch of medicine that specially focusses on the health of individuals to prevent from chronic diseases. It has three major divisions with common core knowledge, skills, and competencies that possess different populations, environments, or practice settings: aerospace medicine, occupational medicine and public health and general preventive medicine. Preventive medicine specialists apply knowledge and skills gained from the medical, social, economic, and behavioral sciences.
