About Polycystic Ovary Syndrome
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome or hyperandrogenic anovulation is the major endocrine disorder in reproduction science with the imbalance of hormones in female caused due to genetic and environmental factors with the formation of large number of cysts.
PCOS affect a woman's menstrual cycle, ability to have children, Hormones, Heart, Blood vessels and Appearance.
PCOS is due to a hormonal imbalance wherein women ovaries make more androgens than normal. Androgens are male hormones that females also make. High levels of these hormones affect the development and release of eggs during ovulation.
