About Ichthyology
Ichthyology is the branch of biology which deals with the study of fishes with reference to their structure, relations to one another and to other animals, classification, habits, and uses. It is also known as fish science.
Ichthyology is the study of fishes, both salt and freshwater species.
Ichthyologists study all aspects of fish from their classification, to their morphology, evolution, behavior, diversity, and ecology. Many ichthyologists are also involved in the field of aquaculture and fisheries.
