Validation of one educational technology on semiology and semiotics in nursing

Abstract
Validate an Educational Technology (ET) to mediate the study in semiology and semiotics. An exploratory methodological study conducted in five phases: An exploration of reality; literature review; construction technology; validation and review. Data were collected in two stages: 1) the application and validation of ET by expert judges and 2) by the aimed public (AP). Fifty-one people participated in the study, of whom 6 were expert judges in the areas related to the theme study of the content of the ET and 45 nursing graduate students (AP). As for the validation of the booklet, the opinions of the judges presented the following results: block 1- Clarity of information with a percentage of 91,6%; Block 2 – Organization with 88,8%, block 3 -Style 79,1% percentage. From the results achieved, the second round with experienced judges from the applicability of the Delphi technique, in which a validation index with a percentage of 80% was obtained. Judges' suggestions include: Regarding the formatting of the questions, the size of the source used, the insertion of illustrations in the questions, and the colors used were considered. In the Block 4 - Purpose with a percentage of 100%. The educational technology produced was considered statistically valid. As for the validation of the booklet, the opinions of the nursing graduate students (AP) presented the following results: block 1 -Clarity of information with a percentage of 97,7%; Block 2 – Organization with 94,1%, block 3 -Style 86, 1% percentage and Block 4 Purpose with a percentage of 95,5%. The objective has been achieved and can be a useful technology to motivate students in relation to the discussed issues. Educational technology proved to be valid as to the content, according to the specialized judges and the aimed public.
