Abstract
Background: An abdominal pregnancy is the one that occurs in the abdominal cavity outside of the female reproductive organs. The incidence of abdominal pregnancy differs in various publications and ranges between 1: 10,000 pregnancies 1: 30,000.
Case Report: Case was found at Aloei Saboe Hospital Gorontalo. A 31 years old G4P1A2 send from obstetric gynecologist with diagnose ectopic pregnancy. She felt intermittent mild abdominal pain in early pregnancy. From ultrasound examination there was fetus in gestational sac (10-11 weeks of gestation) outside of the uterus and minimal amount of free fluid in cavum Douglas. While operating, the abdominal cavity was found amniotic pocket containing fetus implanted at omentum. Omentectomy was performed. The patient was discharged within good condition. Early antenatal care is very important to diagnose an early abdominal pregnancy. With ultrasound examination, an empty uterus, coupled with the presence of a gestational sac or mass separate from the uterus, adnexa and ovaries, should always raise suspicion of an early abdominal pregnancy.
