Abstract
Secured Registration/ Transaction using Fingerprint Recognition for an Automatic Teller Machine (ATM)
A method for operating a computerized system for processing card less transactions using Automatic Teller Machine (ATM), the method comprising the steps of: registering a user’s fingerprint with an entity, by using the user’s fingerprint to create a first image of the user’s fingerprint and then storing the first image of the user’s fingerprint in a digital database of the entity; associating the first image of the user’s fingerprint, now registered, with at least one debit or credit account of the user; receiving, through a transaction device, wherein request comprises a second image of the user’s fingerprint taken by the transaction device at the time the request to authorize the transaction is made; and, authenticating the request to authorize the transaction, by comparing in real time, through a computer network, the second image with the first image of the user’s fingerprint.
