Abstract
Just Put Ice on It
The use of cryotherapy is one of the most common modalities used in the athletic setting. With a wide variety of applications and proposed benefits, cryotherapy is often used at some point within the injury process. But why is cold/ice so commonly used? The purpose of this editorial is to move away from the mindset of “just putting ice on it” towards having a “prescription” for cryotherapy treatments.
