Abstract
This study aimed to report the pathological characteristics of intraocular cysticercosis due to Taenia solium parasitic infection. Twelve-year-old boy, with neuro-cysticercosis was found to have sub-retinal cysticercosis in the left eye. Patient underwent pars-plana vitrectomy, with extrusion of cyst intravitreally by making a retinotomy with removal of cyst in-toto by enlarging sclerotomy. Histopathology revealed larva of cysticercus, along with scolex, which contains the sucker and hooklets.
