Introduction

Biodiversity loss and the decline of many plant species have become pressing environmental issues worldwide. The loss of genetic diversity within populations of endangered plant species is a particularly concerning aspect of this crisis, as it can lead to reduced adaptability, resilience, and long-term survival of these species. Restoration efforts aimed at conserving endangered plant species must, therefore, take into account the importance of incorporating genetic diversity considerations into their strategies.
