Abstract
It feels immense pleasure to share that the Journal of Marine Biology and Oceanography issue release frequency has been changed to quarterly (4 issues per year). The Journal was started in the year 2014 and since then it is growing continuously and publishing the issues successfully with sufficient number of articles. The main objective of the journal is to publish high-quality, authentic and upto- date research going on in the field of marine science, aquaculture, oceanography, biogeochemistry and fisheries science. Journal of Marine Biology and Oceanography is an international open access peer-review journal covering all aspects of Marine Biology and Oceanography. The Journal of Marine Biology and Oceanography is a quarterly journal and publishes article in English and every article is rigorously peer-reviewed and is published online with 45 days after acceptance. Its Editorial Board is composed of renowned researchers and scientists across the globe. The Editorial board comprises three Editor-in- Chief and 13 Editors, and each holding higher qualifications in their respective fields.

The Journal accepts articles related to Marine Biotechnology and Chemistry, Ecology and Ecosystem, Marine Geology, Fisheries Science, Limnology, Aquaculture, Toxicology, Coastal Geography, Ichthyology, Biogeochemistry, Climatology, Marine Conservation and Engineering. All articles that are published with the Journal are included in the indexing and abstracting coverage of COSMOS, Index Copernicus Value: 61.01, Sherpa Romeo, Journal TOCs, Crossref, Genamics.
Journal has auspiciously released several issues of peer-reviewed articles collected from wide geographic locations across the world since 8 years and now seeking exceptional studies for 2020 issues. During the calendar year 2019 and mid-2020, The Journal of Marine Biology and Oceanography received a total 30 papers, out of which 10 articles were rejected in the preliminary screening check due to plagiarism or being out of the scope of the journal. A total of 12 articles are published till July 2020 from authors belonging to different geographical locations across the world.
In the July month of 2016, Geoffrey I. Scott was made the Editorin- Chief of the Journal. Geoffrey I. Scott is Director of NOAA’s Center for Coastal Environmental Health and Biomolecular Research (CCEHBR) in Charleston, South Carolina. Further, Dr. Gualtiero Basilone, also joined the editorial board of the journal. He research area includes analysis of amino acids in the tissues and in fish otoliths with high performance liquid chromatography, marine fish; scientific method in ecology: marking and recapture; statistics and ecology of seabirds.
I take this opportunity to acknowledge and extend my gratitude to Editor-in-Chiefs and Associate Editors for contributing and lending their support in successful publications of the articles. I would also like to express my gratitude to all the authors for disseminating their research through our platform, reviewers for giving their valuable comments within the stipulated time frame and the office bearers for their support in bringing out yet another volume of the Journal of Marine Biology and Oceanography and look forward to their relenting support in future also.
