Abstract
Correlation of Cytokines with Outcome in Children with Dengue and Septic Shock
Cytokines are inflammatory mediators responsible for diffuse tissue injury associated with infections. Of the numerous mediators implicated in the development of sepsis syndrome, evidence suggests that cytokines are decisive factors in determining the pathobiology of septic shock.
