Abstract
Analysis of Touristsâ?? Length of Stay: A Case Study of Tainan City, Taiwan
This study evaluates the motivations for the length of tourist stays in Tainan City, Taiwan. Tainan City is not only a cultural center but also an ancient capital with numerous historic sites. Tourist visits, particularly extended stays, increase tourism income. Therefore, this study aims to identify the factors affecting the length of stay of tourists in Tainan City. Data modelling collected through a questionnaire, 368 the valid sample. And survival analysis was employed for data modeling. We hypothesize that the motivations for cultural travel affect the length of stay of tourists in Tainan City. This study aims to determine the specific travel motivation that can affect the length of stay of tourists and provide the Tainan City government a better understanding of how to improve and promote the attractive characteristics of the city. The results reveal the travel motivations affecting touristsâ?? length of stay including human relationship, quality and modernization, variety of sightseeing spots, residence area and age.
