Abstract
Acute pancreatitis in the setting of acute liver failure is an uncommon but challenging clinical entity. Although the presence of acute pancreatitis in acute liver failure has important prognostic implications, it should not be considered a contraindication to liver transplantation. Here we present a case of successful liver transplantation in a patient with acute hepatitis B virus acute liver failure with concurrent necrotising pancreatitis and multiple organ dysfunctions.
