Abstract
This paper is a research work done at Ford India Private Limited Chennai. The current and voltage feedback wires from the robotic spot (adaptive resistance) welding arm to the welding controller often gets cut off due to the fast multi axial rotational motion of the arm. This problem not only exists in Ford India Private Limited Chennai but also in most of the automotive industries in the country. This paper proposes a solution to this problem by a detailed study and a stepwise approach to the same. The entire wiring system was replaced with a wireless system. This wireless protocol is selected in such a way that there is no noise that affects the data that is transferred. Therefore, this solution will reduce the down time which will lead to more profit for the industry.
