Abstract
Markers of Inflammation among Nigerian Periodontitis Patients
Periodontitis cause local and gradual systemic immune response leading to increased production of inflammatory cytokines and acute phase proteins recognised to constitute major risk factors for the development of cardiovascular diseases. This study aim to determine baseline levels of markers of inflammation (C-reactive protein, Total leukocyte count and serum viscosity) among periodontitis patients in Warri, Delta state, Nigeria.
