Journals on Immunity
"The term Immunity can be explained as the capability of the body to avoid or resist infections, diseases and other unwanted invasions. The Immune system involves both specific and non-specific components. The non-specific components act irrespective of antigenic specificity and eliminate or act as a barrier to a wide range of pathogens while the specific components of the immune system generate pathogen-specific immunity by adapting themselves to new disease encountered. Specific Immunity or Adaptive Immunity can again be sub divided into two major types depending on how the immunity is introduced into the body. It can be natural acquired immunity or artificial acquired immunity. Both the types of Immunity can be further divided on whether immunity is induced or passively transferred from an immune host.
