Born Sept 14, 1946, Strzemieszyce, Poland. Studied chemistry (1964-69) and physics (1968-72) at Jagiellonian University (JU) in Kraków. Worked (1969-98) at the Department of Analytical Chemistry of JU, where made doctorate (1977) and habilitation (1989) and worked up to 1998. In 1995 started work at Technical University of Kraków, as head of Department of Analytical Chemistry. Professor in 1996. Retired in 2016. Member of the Committee of Analytical Chemistry of Polish Academy of Sciences (1995-2007). Published more than 180 papers.
