Biography
Sumit Ghosh completed his Ph.D. in 2012 with a fellowship from National Sciences Foundation from North Dakota State University under the mentorship of Dr. Jane Schuh during which time, he characterized the role of B lymphocyte subsets in allergic asthma. During his postdoctoral training he studied extensively the role of extracellular matrix components in regulating inflammation in allergic asthma and developed a new model to study occupational exposure of toxins which has clinical relevance. He currently works at the University of North Dakota where he studies impact of occupational exposures on immune function and researches biological safety related incidents and evaluates federal/CDC regulations to determine requirements for permit modifications, research planning and development.
