Biography
After a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering and Environment in the National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse, Dr. Sébastien Déon has obtained his Ph.D. thesis in 2007 at the University of South Brittany on the modelling of multi-ionic transport through nanofiltration membranes. In 2008, he became Assistant Professor in the University of Franche-Comté where he has broadened his area of expertise to structural and electrokinetic characterizations of membrane materials and fouling cakes. Since 2013, he is now associate professor in the same university and its skills are mainly dedicated to water treatment in scope to desalination or purification of waste or ground waters by membrane processes. Dr. Sébastien Déon is also the author or co-author of one book, twenty-eight publications in international recognized journals and some twenty presentations in international conferences. Its expertise in reviewing scientific papers for recognized journals led him to become Associate Editor of International Journal of Membrane Science and Technology, Academic Editor of International Journal of Chemical Engineering and an Editorial Board Member of American Journal of Environmental Engineering, European Journal of Environmental and Safety Sciences, and Journal of Environment and Biotechnology Research.
