Prof. Qiurong Li has completed her Ph.D. in 1997 from Herbin Medical University and postdoctoral studies in 2002 from Rheinisch-Westfalische Technische Hochschule Aachen, Germany. She is a professor in Gastroenterology and the director of the Institute of General Surgery in Jinling Hospital. She has published more than 20 papers in reputed journals.

Prof. Qiurong Li research works are focused on the gastrointestinal pathophysiology including gut host-microbial interactions, chronic graft dysfunction in intestinal transplantation and the injury and restoration of intestinal barrier function.
