Biography
Dr. Pierfrancesco Tassone is Full Professor of Medical Oncology at the Magna Graecia University of Catanzaro, and Director of the Medical Oncology Unit at Tommaso Campanella Cancer Center. After MD graduation in Italy, his scientific career begun as Research fellow at New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY, and subsequently he has been appointed as Research Associate at University of California San Diego, CA, and at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School, Boston MA. Dr. Tassone is PI of the Research Network in the Special Program Molecular Clinical Oncology: A research platform for miRNA-based treatment of multiple myeloma and B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia - 5 per mille" n. 9980, 2010/15, funded by the Italian Association for Cancer Reseach (AIRC). Dr. Tassone is serving as Adjunct Professor at Temple University's College of Science & Technology, Philadelphia, PA.
