Dr. Koichi Iwatsuki currently working as an Associate Professor in Department of Neurosurgery at Osaka University Medical School. He graduated from Faculty of Medicine at University of Tokushima. Dr. Koichi Iwatsuki was an Board certified physician by the Japan Neurosurgical Society, Councilor and editor of the Japan Society for Laser Surgery and Medicine, followed by Instructor certified by the Japanese Society for Spinal Surgery.

Research interest of Koichi Iwatsuki includes spine and spine cord regeneration.
