Biography
Dr. Jingshan Huang is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science in School of Computing at the University of South Alabama. Prior to his current appointment, Dr. Huang was a Research Specialist in Department of Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, & Epidemiology at the Medical University of South Carolina, and an Assistant Professor at Benedict College. Dr. Huang's research areas include machine intelligence, biomedical informatics, Semantic Web Techniques, and semantic data mining, with more than 30 refereed publications, including two books, six journal papers, three book chapters, and one conference paper winning Runner-up for Best Student Paper Award. Dr. Huang is a member of Sigma Xi, IEEE, and AAAI. He is an Editorial Board member of the Journal of Computer Engineering & Information Technology, MASAUM Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and MASAUM Journal of Computer Sciences. Dr. Huang has served in the Program Committee for many premier international conferences, e.g., AAMAS, ODBASE, and CIT. He has also served in the Review Board of Journal of Open Research on Information Systems and has served as a reviewer for many prestigious journals, e.g., IEEE Internet Computing, World Wide Web Journal, and IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering.
Research Interest
Dr. Jingshan Huang has broad interests in Machine Intelligence, Biomedical Informatics, Semantic Web Techniques and Semantic Data Mining.
