Biography
Dr. Donna Wang is currently an Associate Professor at Long Island University in Brooklyn. She received her MSW from Temple University and her PhD in Social Work from Fordham University. Dr. Wang has been yoga practitioner since the mid-1990’s and also maintains a daily Vipassana meditation practice as taught by SN Goenka. Her research areas include yoga, mindfulness and meditation, with a particular focus on integration into social work theory and practice. Her additional scholarly interests are gerontological social work, international social work and cultural diversity. Originally from Philadelphia, she, along with her husband and daughter, currently split their time between Brooklyn, Western Massachusetts and Prince Edward Island, Canada.
