Biography
Daniel G. Peterson is the Director of the Institute for Genomics, Biocomputing & Biotechnology at Mississippi State University. As an IGBB Director, Dr. Peterson helps Mississippi scientists organize and lead high-throughput, multi-disciplinary projects focused on understanding the biomolecular interactions underlying the diversity, value, and sustainability of species of agricultural, medical, bioenergy, and/or ecological importance. Peterson is also a Professor at MS State's Department of Plant & Soil Sciences and Director of the Mississippi Genome Exploration Laboratory.
Research Interest
Dr. Daniel Petersons research is focused on exploring the structure and evolution of eukaryotic genomes (principally crop/tree species) using genomic, cytogenetic, and molecular biology techniques.
