Biography:    Annamaria Ficara received her bachelors degree in Computer Science from University of Messina (Italy) in October 2016. She received her master degree in Engineering and Computer Science from University of Messina in October 2018. Currently she is a PhD student in Mathematics and Computational Sciences at University of Palermo (Italy). Some of her more recent research topics include the application of network analysis methods to the study of organized criminal groups. As part of her doctoral research she is also developing a parallel implementation of a new measure of network centrality called Game of Thieves.

Research Interest: Annamaria Ficara research interests include Parallel computing, Graph partitioning, Social Network Analysis, Complex networks, Criminal networks and Python programming.
