Contraception, also known as birth control is methods used to prevent unwanted pregnancy. Birth controlled when done in a planned manner is called as family planning. Various contraceptive methods are even used to prevent sexually transmitted diseases. There are various contraceptive methods for males and females and include barrier methods, hormonal birth control, intrauterine devices (IUDs), sterilization, and behavioral methods.
