Abstract
Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (COLD) is responsible for leading causes of mortality and morbidity worldwide and a major public health problem worldwide. In 2000, according to the World Health Organization - WHO, COPD was the 5th leading cause of mortality worldwide, with 4.5% of deaths, second only in brain and heart, AIDS or AIDS-vascular diseases (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome.
