Biography
Dr. W.J. (Chris) Zhang is currently the professor of Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering at University of Saskatchewan. Prior to joining the University of Saskatchewan, Dr. Zhang worked at the City University of Hong Kong. He received his B.Sc. from ECUST, China and M.Sc. from DonHua, China. Dr. Zhang has earned his Ph.D from Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) in 1994. He specializes in Design, Manufacturing, Biomechatronics, Dynamic System and Control, MEMS, Informatics, Robotics, Socio-tech systems. He is a member of ASME, a member of IEEE, and a senior member of ASM. He is a member of the editorial review board of two international journals (Computer Aided Design, and its Application and Web-based Learning and Teaching Technology), an associate editor of Journal of Mechanical Science and Technology (Chinese), and a member of the advisory board of Journal of Mechanical Design (Chinese).He is an adjunct professor of The University of Adelaide (Australia), a guest professor of Shang Dong University, China, a special chair professor of East China University of Science and Technology, China. He has published about 96 technical papers in refereed journals and 93 technical papers in refereed conference proceedings.
