Biography
Robert Kersey is a Professor of Kinesiology and Health Science at California State University, Fullerton. Before coming to Cal State Fullerton in 1997, he was an Associate Professor in Human Performance at San Jose State University. Dr. Kersey received his doctoral degree from the University of New Mexico. His dissertation topic involved the incidence of anabolic-androgenic steroids use among community college student-athletes. He was a practicing athletic trainer at Hartnell College (82 – 95), in addition to various other institutions. Dr. Kersey is currently the Director for Cal State Fullerton’s nationally accredited (CAAHEP) undergraduate Athletic Training Education Program. He serves his profession as a reviewer for the Journal of Athletic Training and Athletic Therapy Today. He currently is on the NATA Convention Committee, and is the Committee Chairperson for the Far West Athletic Trainers’ Association – Research and Grants Committee, as well as serving on the NATA-Board of Certification – Standards Committee.

Ergogenic aids, performance enhancing nutritional supplements, sport pharmaceuticals/medicinals, sports injury epidemiology, unique case studies of sport injuries.
