Richard Webster is a Lawes Trust Fellow, having been on the staff of Rothamsted for 20 years and worked as a soil scientist with statistical expertise in Africa, Australia, France and Switzerland.    He is author of some 250 research papers, three atlases, four textbooks and several published technical reports.
