Biography
Renee Polubinsky is an Associate Professor and Director of the Athletic Training Education Program in the Kinesiology Department at Western Illinois University. She has served on numerous national and state boards as well as received awards for excellence in teaching and outstanding service. She co-authored a Position Statement on the Availability and Accessibility of AEDs in school settings for the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. Dr. Polubinsky has published in national journals, presented at state, regional, and national conferences as well as served on critical incident teams for two universities. Her research interests include prevention and care for athletic injuries including rehabilitation techniques along with athletic safety through prevention and preparedness.
