R Prasad is an Assistant Professor at Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, India.  As a Scientist, he is a recipient of many awards for his valuable contributions and discoveries in Plant science. His research interests lie in Genetics and Plant Breeding with special reference to plant biotechnology, GCA(General   Combining   Ability), SCA (Special Combining Ability) Hetero-sis, Yield component, Gene effects. He is the Editorial Board Member of many peer reviewed journals and his area of expertise credits him with many publications in national and international journals.
