Dr. Kim Severt, received her PhD from Oklahoma State University in Hospitality Management. Her industry experience includes Pharmacy Retail Manager, Special Events Coordinator and catering/dining manager. From 2004 to 2012 she served at University of Central Florida as Assistant professor. Currently she is serving at University of Alabama as an Associate Profesor.

Her research is focussed on the area of Meetings and Events, Incentive Travel, Hotel Operations, and Food and Beverage. Teach in the area of Meeting Management.
