Biography
Joe Perdue, CCM, CHE is an Associate Professor at University of Nevada Las Vegas. He also acted as
Academic Advisor, Club Managers Association of America
Joe Perdue serves as Academic Advisor for the Club Managers Association of America having worked with the association since 1986. Responsible for the initial development of CMAA’s Business Management Institute (BMI), Joe has coordinated over 280 weeklong BMI programs for over 9,000 managers. He has served as Vice President of CMAA where he was responsible for all professional development and certification programs. Joe continues to have responsibility for overseeing CMAA’s Business Management Institute program and certification exam, study materials and certification review course.
Joe serves as an Associate Professor in the William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he is responsible for the club management program.
Joe is editor or co-author of three textbooks including Contemporary Club Management, Second Edition, the primary textbook used in university club management courses and for CMAA managers preparing for the Certified Club Manager exam, A Club Manager’s Guide to Private Parties and Special Functions and Discovering Hospitality and Tourism, The World’s Greatest Industry, Second Edition.
