Biography
Dr. Janusz Andres is a specialist in anesthesia and intensive care and an academic teacher. He completed his Medical studies in 1979 at the Faculty of Medicine of the Medical Academy in Krakow. In 1986-88 he pursued doctoral studies at the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium, where he obtained his doctorate. In 1994, he received a postdoctoral degree in medical science. Since 2001 he is Director of the Regional Centre of the European School of Anaesthesia (CEEA) in Krakow and a member of the Examination Committee of the European Diploma in Anaesthesiology (EDA ) . He takes part in the work of Anesthesiology and Reanimation Commission Pathophysiology of Sciences Committee and the Committee of Medical Ethics PAU. He is a member of the European Society of Anaesthesiology , Executive Committee of the European Resuscitation Council and the European Association of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologists the where for many years he served as Country Representative.
