Biography

Dr. Hamid Reza Taghiyari was born in 1968 in Tehran, Iran. He majored in Wood Science and Technology at the University of Tehran. While still busy working on his PhD thesis, he joined Shahid Rajaee Teacher Training University as Faculty Member. His main areas of research interests are wood preservation, fluid flow in porous media, and nanotechnology. So far, he has been the author or co-author of more than 70 JCR/ISI and peer-reviewed papers, project leader of two international research projects and more than 10 national projects. He has published two books at the University of Tehran, one book at Sharif University of Technology, and one book at Shahid Rajaee Teacher Training University. He has also published three book chapters. He was the inventor of 36 national and international patents. Some of the apparatuses and devices he has invented were bought by international universities. He was one of the first researchers to use nanotechnology in wood-composites and bio-composites.
