Biography

Andrea Cripps is a certified and licensed athletic trainer whom evaluates and examines the impact concussions have on balance and visuo-motor processing in an athletic population. The impact concussions have on visual processing and visual perception is an emphasis of the NMSU concussion assessment research lab in which Dr. Cripps serves as the director. Cripps has published articles in the Journal of Sports Rehabilitation, and Journal of Athletic Medicine and has presented at national, state, and regional conferences. In addition to her research, Dr. Cripps serves as the clinical coordinator for the Athletic Training Program at NMSU where she is responsible for student clinical progression, site/student/preceptor evaluations as well as preceptor training. She received a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Science and graduate certificate in applied statistics from the University of Kentucky.
