Pulmonary Hypertension in Patients Undergoing Kidney Transplant - A Single Center Experience
Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is a fatal disease with a high mortality rate. It has also been found to increase perioperative complications including persistent post-operative hypoxia, right ventricular failure and coronary ischemia. Reich and colleagues observed that a mean pulmonary artery pressure >30 mm Hg was a significant independent predictor of post-operative mortality in over 2000 patients undergoing cardiopulmonary bypass.
