IAB is Real: A Case of Bayes’ Syndrome after the First Dialytic Session
Atrial fibrillation (AF) is considered frequent in nephropathic patients, only a few cases of Baye’s syndrome (BS) have been described in this population and all of them developed in an end-stage chronic kidney disease condition after years-long haemodialytic treatment. Therefore, we present the case of a patient with normal
echocardiogram and rapid decline of renal function, who developed BS just after her first dialytic session, and how this case confirmed several hypotheses about AF triggers.
